Nº 01 — The Cut

Precision Haircutsin Savannah, GA

Precision haircuts in Savannah are planned around face-framing and how you style at home, not a trend you cannot recreate on a Tuesday.

A haircut is the one thing you wear every day, and most are cut for the mirror on the day rather than for the eight weeks that follow. At Roots Southern Salon we cut the other way. Your stylist reads your growth pattern, density, and how you actually wear it before the first section is taken, then cuts to a weight line that grows out on plan instead of collapsing three weeks in. The result is a shape that looks considered at hour one and still makes sense the morning before your next visit.

What the appointment includesPage 01

Inside the service.

  • A seated consultation that reads your hair’s history, texture, and how you style it yourself
  • Dry-cutting where it serves the shape, so what you see is what you leave with
  • A weight line planned for how the cut grows out, not just how it photographs today
  • A styling lesson at the mirror — the round-brush or the air-dry, whichever you’ll actually repeat
  • A product map written for your routine, never an upsell at the desk
  • Cut notes recorded to your card so the shape is repeatable in any chair in the house
How it runsPage 02

From first hello to final mirror.

  1. Consult

Twenty seated minutes: photographs, growth pattern, and an honest read on what the cut can and cannot do for your hair type — before anything is touched.

  2. Section & cut

Cleanse and prep, then a sectioned cut checked in daylight and mirror light. Dry-detailing at the end refines the shape you actually walk out with.

  3. Teach the finish

A short styling lesson so the look survives at home, plus the two or three products that make it repeatable — and the ones you can skip.

  4. Record & hold

Cut notes go onto your formula card, and your next reservation is held so the shape never grows past the point of no return.

The consultation costs nothing. Guessing does.

Twenty seated minutes, a strand test, and a written quote — before you commit to a chair.

QuestionsPage 04

On precision haircuts.

Why is the consultation separate from the appointment?

Because the consultation decides the appointment. Twenty seated minutes lets your stylist read your hair’s history, run a strand test if colour is involved, and quote the real cost and timeline in writing. You approve the plan before anything is booked — and the consultation itself is complimentary.

What if I don’t know what I want?

That’s the best possible starting point. Bring photographs of your hair at its happiest — not just references of other people — and your stylist will build the direction with you at consultation. The house rule: nobody leaves with a decision they were talked into.

How far in advance should I book?

The floor books two to three weeks out; Saturday chairs and the private colour suites go first. Most guests hold a standing reservation so the question disappears. For a first visit, request a consultation online and the front desk will usually place you within the week.
